Tell Me About It: Naked Streets Ep.14

If you think cyclists are usually the cause of accidents between cars and bikes…think again. Host Francine Raften welcomed guests Melinda Pittman, Artistic Director for BroadArts Theater and Lindsey Voreis, world-class bicyclist and star of Survivor-Africa (as well as the new ‘face of Bend, OR) to talk about Portland’s bike/car dynamic, and the need for a ‘naked streets’ approach for our roads. Plus Columbia University won’t allow male volunteers in their their Rape Crisis Center, sticking to their 20-year policy and flying in the face of a gender-neutral movement nationwide. How do you feel about restoring voting rights to felons who have completed their sentences? We took that question to the streets of Portland as well as our panel…and NYC Starbucks will no longer make their bathrooms available to the public; does this break it’s brand promise to the public? Just a few of the many topics explored this week on “Tell Me About It!”
